Consorzio San Luca

San Luca’s Consortium for the culture, art and restauration will be partner of DNA.italia: “We are positive about the future: we believe in the harmony and diffusion of the knowledge. In the restauration field of cultural assets there is a need of increasing dialogue, especially among the one who own cultural assets. All the opportunities of dialogue – exchange, and DNA.italia is one of them, contribute to underline the importance of all those topics.

We spoke with Luca Emilio Brancati, AD of the Consortium.

For the second straight year San Luca’s Consortium will be present, as a partner in DNA.italia, to the first and only marketplace dedicated to cultural heritage. How does the choice of supporting this innovative event?

The San Luca’s Consortium, which was born by the will of a group of small businesses active in the preservation of cultural heritage, in high decoration and communication, has in its DNA the teamwork gene and we believe that we have to constantly increase our network. The work of our associates is focused on creativity and we are strongly interested in all the technological innovations that may affect our professional careers.  The Consortium, with the spirit of collaboration and continuous renewal, is inherently open to confrontation.

Luca Emilio Brancati

DNA.italia’s Goal: to create synergies between companies, designers, finance, institutions and associations working in the field of cultural heritage. Lied at the base, the consciousness that our cultural heritage is the viaticum which will be able to enhance this broad satellite industries. A way of reading that differs from all the events taking place in the field. What is your opinion about this innovative formula?

Among the founding reasons of the San Luca’s consortium it is included the simplification of the routine’ operations and, conversely, the increasing chance of growth thanks to the link that are established among different consolidated network of single consortium companies. The benefit of the teamwork among different professional has been part of our routine and there are a lot of experience that can show you how much profitable it could be.

So if we can contribute to the creation of a place where to built more synergies, we are in the front row: just like it happened in last year DNA.italia’s edition, when we proposed our self with a cultural program without waiting for the organization to ask us. Also the San Luca’s Consortium has bet its own future on the cultural heritage and on the driving force of harmony, to pursue which put  the center of attention the "beauty" and principles such as cooperation, loyalty, honesty, unity and mutual respect.

San Luca’s Consortium will participate actively in the creation cultural program of DNA Italy. What have you planned in detail?

The San Luca’s Consortium will work on the realization of some of the cultural events:
  1. One of the tracks outside the event, that foresee a visit to the recently restored sites, witness of the Painting Scool of Chieri (Gallieri Chapel of the Cathedral, Preceptory of St. Leonard, in St. Dominic Chapel of the Nativity);
  2. The visit to an historic mansion linked to the history of the Unification of Italy (in collaboration with the Associazione Conservare Per Innovare - CXI);
  3. Organization of an specialistic conference on the conservation and restoration of the extraordinary series of Romanesque frescoes recently discovered in the Santa Maria of San Mauro Pulcherada’s church;
  4. Finally, we intend to organize - in collaboration with the regional board of the ministry of cultural heritage and environmental conservation, professional associations and with all the organization that for more than a decade have been dealing with the protection of historic houses - a convention on the design of the technical procedures of restoration and high quality decoration to be used in those buildings which are not intended to be used as museums, but inhabited and lived daily.

During DNA.italia, San Luca’s Consortium, as well as the other participants, will be able to talk to different actors: which partners specifically would like to get in touch with andwhat are the opportunities that you expect to be able to seize thanks to this great event?

First of all we are looking to the opportunity of sharing and communicating with other participants /exhibitors, which in itself would be a good result. But even more we want to take the opportunity to meet professionals who can help us to enrich our network of partners and suppliers, so that they can continue to improve the quality of our work.

In the end, as specialist operators, you have a clear view of the problems but also of the potential development of this sector: is there something specific you want to communicate with the outside?

We are positive about the future: we believe in the harmony and diffusion of the knowledge. In the restauration field of cultural assets there is a need of an increasing dialogue, especially among the one who own cultural assets. In the field of high decoration the cultural proposal of the “know how” could take us back to the appreciation of what we have inherited from our ancestors. All the opportunities of dialogue – exchange, and DNA.italia is one of them, contribute to underline the importance of all those topics.
